Tanks, quadcopter drones, and helicopters opened fire on civilians close to the al-Alam roundabout, approximately 1 km (0.6 miles) from the aid station, according to Mahmoud Basal, a spokesman for Gaza’s Hamas-run Civil Defense service.
After recognizing suspects who approached them “deviating from the designated access routes,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that their soldiers opened fire.
