In an effort to welcome travelers ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, Pakistan Railways has announced a 20% fee reduction for all passengers nationwide.
All three of Eid’s days will be covered by the relief. According to an official statement, the discount will be valid on all trains and classes, but will only apply to current tickets. Note that special trains for Eid will not be able to use this facility.
The federal minister of railways and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued specific directions that led to the decision to offer fare relief.
According to railways authorities, the department is also attempting to guarantee efficient operations, heightened security, and timeliness over the days leading up to Eid.
