At the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and his Saudi equivalent, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Saudi Arabia on Thursday for a two-day official visit accompanied by a high-level team.
PM Shehbaz is expected to meet with the Saudi crown prince, who is also the country’s prime minister, while he is there.
According to a press release issued Thursday by the foreign office, “discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation in key areas, including trade and investment, the welfare of the Muslim Ummah, and regional peace and security.”
“The prime minister will also express gratitude to the Saudi leadership for its constructive role in de-escalating the recent Pakistan-India conflict.”
