The price of gold rose sharply in Pakistan and around the world a day following stabilization.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reports that the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs4,300 a tola on Thursday, reaching Rs358,400. Likewise, 10 grams of gold increased in value by Rs3,687, reaching Rs307,270.
A significant shift was also seen in the world gold market, as the price of gold increased by $43 per ounce to $3,400.
The cost of silver increased in Pakistan as well; a tola of 24-karat silver now costs Rs159 more than it did a year ago, at Rs3,745, while 10 kilos of silver now costs Rs3,210.
