WASHINGTON: The chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, stated on Saturday that the recent five-day fighting had shattered India’s pretense of being a “net security provider,” exposing it as a source of insecurity for South Asia and the rest of the world.
He said, “India’s actions had dangerously lowered the threshold for armed confrontation in the region… they started a war based on a lie and couldn’t even win it,” during a luncheon honoring the Pakistani multi-party delegation in Washington, DC, that was hosted by Pakistan Ambassador to the US Rizwan Saeed.
In order to convey Pakistan’s position, the former foreign minister is currently traveling to the United States with a high-level parliamentary delegation consisting of nine members.
