DUBAI: In a spectacular celebration that emphasized Dubai’s reputation for tolerance and extravagance around the world, hundreds of Indian and Pakistani workers celebrated Eid ul Adha together in Dubai and won luxury automobiles, gold bars, cash awards, and return tickets.
With the theme “Let’s Celebrate Eid Together,” the event was organized by Dubai’s top government agency, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), in recognition of the blue-collar workers who play a vital role in the city’s rapid development.
“This event is a tribute to the hardworking labor community whose contributions drive Dubai’s success,” said Major General Obaid Muhair Bin Suroor, Assistant Director General of Dubai’s GDRFA, in a statement marking the occasion. Our goal is to show our appreciation and give them an inclusive, joyful, and unforgettable Eid celebration.
