ISLAMABAD: Pakistan denounced Israel’s “unjustified and illegitimate” attacking of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Friday.
According to the Foreign Office, Israeli military actions blatantly breached the UN Charter and core international legal principles while also violating Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The FO stated in a statement that “Iran has the right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter.”
Israel launched massive strikes against Iran on Friday, claiming that the raids were the beginning of a long-term effort to stop Tehran from developing an atomic weapon. The strikes targeted military commanders, nuclear facilities, and ballistic missile factories.
