Despite the lack of definitive intelligence reports, US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that the devastation caused by American raids on Iranian nuclear sites was comparable to the end of World War Two.
His remarks came after Reuters and other media sources reported that, despite claims by Trump and administration officials that Iran’s nuclear program had been destroyed, the US Defense Intelligence Agency had determined that the strikes had only set back the program by a few months.
Ahead of a summit in The Hague, Trump told reporters, “The intelligence was… very inconclusive,” during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
