KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that the city will see sporadic rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds until Sunday, marking the beginning of the city’s first monsoon season.
The Met Office says there might be moderate to heavy rains in certain places.
According to the PMD’s most recent weather advisory, Karachi is predicted to experience hot, muggy weather today (Thursday), with partly cloudy skies throughout the day. The highest temperature, meantime, is probably going to remain in the range of 35°C to 37°C.
The meteorological service reports that a westerly weather system has moved across the country’s western areas, bringing with it the possibility of thunderstorms, rain, and gusty winds in most parts of Sindh from today till June 29.
