An official from the International Hockey Federation (FIH) has said that no team has received a formal invitation to replace New Zealand at this time, despite Pakistani officials’ persistent claims that the PHF is in communication with the FIH about joining the FIH Pro League.
Along with representatives from the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), the PHF secretary addressed the media on Thursday about the potential for Pakistan to join the Pro League and the necessary funding. He went on to say that the PHF is discussing the issue with the FIH.
The FIH, however, informed Geo News that the organization is not yet ready to extend an invitation to the Nations Cup runner-up to join the Pro League.
