After months of anticipation about which team he would sign for the upcoming season, the Saudi Arabian Club Al Nassr revealed on Thursday that Cristiano Ronaldo had signed a two-year deal with them.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is staying at @AlNassrFC until 2027,” the team stated in an X post.
The team released a teaser video with Ronaldo, 40, strolling along a shoreline and uttering the words “Al Nassr forever” just minutes before the formal confirmation.
When the Portuguese superstar came to the kingdom in 2023 to play for the team, it sparked a wave of players in their later years to move to the oil-rich nation.
Hours after the Saud, Ronaldo said, “This chapter is over” on social media last month.
