After a few days of little increase, the price of gold fell sharply on Friday both in Pakistan and around the world.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reports that the price of 24-karat gold was down Rs5,000 a tola on Friday, reaching Rs351,000. In a same vein, 10 grams of gold now cost Rs300,925 after falling Rs4,287.
A significant shift was also seen in the world gold market, as the price of gold fell by $53 per ounce to $3,290.
A tola of 24-karat silver dropped to Rs3,728 and 10 grams of silver to Rs3,242, reflecting a decline in silver prices in Pakistan as well.
