ISLAMABAD To select permanent chief justices for the Islamabad High Court (IHC), Balochistan High Court (BHC), and Sindh High Court (SHC), the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) will convene today (Tuesday), according to The News.
All commission members will be present at the meeting, which will be presided over by Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi in his role as JCP chairman.
Right now, Justice Junaid Ghaffar is the acting chief justice at the SHC, Justice Sarfaraz Dogar is the acting chief justice at the IHC, and Justice Rozi Khan Barrech is the acting chief justice at the BHC.
The BHC’s senior puisne judge, Justice Kamran Khan Mulakhail, objected to Justice (retd) Nazir Ahmed Lango’s repeated nomination to the JCP.
