The military-to-military ceasefire between India and Pakistan is still in place, according to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. However, it seems that the political leadership of India is not accepting the recent setback.
Speaking at a function organized by the Pakistan High Commission in Kuala Lumpur on Friday, DPM Dar, who also serves as the foreign minister, stated, “The military-to-military ceasefire between Pakistan and India is functioning well, but India’s political leadership is unable to absorb it.”
In May of this year, Pakistan and India fought a four-day war, their bloodiest in decades, using artillery fire, drones, and missiles before reaching a ceasefire agreement. Each country has nuclear weapons.
The military forces of Pakistan began a massive retaliatory campaign in reaction to the Indian attack.
