KARACHI: A six-person committee has been established to look into the death of Humaira Asghar Ali, a model and actor whose decomposing body was found this week in her Karachi apartment.
The 32-year-old actor, who had been living alone for seven years, was discovered dead on July 8 in an apartment in the Ittehad Commercial neighborhood of Defence Phase VI.
After the apartment’s owner filed a case, a court-appointed bailiff was in to enforce an eviction order over unpaid rent, which is when her body was found.
According to Police Surgeon Summaiya Syed’s post-mortem report, the Pakistani actor’s body was in a very decomposed state, and preliminary tests indicated that she had passed away eight to ten months prior.
