After being deported from Mexico, a Pakistani man has shown up in Tucson, Arizona, to face charges related to his alleged involvement in running a global organization that smuggled aliens.
Abbas Ali Haider, 48, of Sialkot, Pakistan, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Tucson in May 2024 for conspiring to smuggle Pakistani individuals into the United States.
Haider allegedly ran two fake film production firms, Multimedia Advertising Ltd. and Diamond TV World Productions, which served as fronts for his organization that smuggled aliens.
Court filings claim that Haider contracted with film studios in Ecuador, Cuba, and Colombia using those Pakistan-based businesses.
