LAHORE: Since early Monday morning, torrential rain has created extensive disruptions in Lahore and a number of other Punjabi cities. The current wet spell is expected to last till this month’s 17th.
Major roadways, including portions of Ferozepur Road, Canal Road, and Gulberg, were drowned by the intense downpour.
The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) reports that Iqbal Town received 169 mm of rainfall, while Paniwala Talab in Lahore received 171 mm. Additionally, more than 100 mm of rain fell on Tajpura, Samanabad, and Lakshmi Chowk.
