RAWALPINDI: Aleema Khan, the sister of Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), declared on Tuesday that the Supreme Court will hear the case and that the life of the imprisoned former premier was in jeopardy.
“Unlawful” detention of her brother and nephew, Aleema told reporters outside the Anti-Terrorism Court. She told reporters, “Our focus is on the release of innocent prisoners, but our brother and nephew are being held in unlawful detention.”
Aleema claimed the PTI founder was refused access to television and newspapers and was being held in solitary confinement. She claimed that the jail administration had violated her fundamental rights by putting him in solitary confinement and cutting off his access to TV and newspapers.
