Funding for several health-related development projects totaling Rs26.77 billion was authorized by the Punjab government on Wednesday.
The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved several projects at its seventh meeting with the goal of enhancing healthcare services and infrastructure. Chief Economist Masood Anwar, P&D Board members, personnel from related departments, and P&D Board Secretary Rafaqat Ali attended the meeting.
Rs7.70 billion and Rs3.83 billion, respectively, have been allocated for the purchase of medical equipment for the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology and the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology in Sargodha.
Additionally, the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department has approved Rs6.84 billion for hospital upgrades and renovations.
