The heavy rain that has been falling on the hilly district for the past 12 hours severely disrupted Thursday’s normal life.
According to official sources, landslides close to the Salgirah area have caused traffic flow issues on the G.T. route.
They stated that the rescue crews had begun work to restore traffic flow on the G.T. route and that the traffic police had urged the public to utilize the expressway to get to Murree.
They stated that there had been landslide incidents in other parts of the district, but no fatalities had been reported.
According to the sources, the Meteorological Department said that over 50 mm of rain fell over Murree in the previous day.
