Considering the recent terror attacks, the deputy commissioner announced on Monday that the authorities in Dera Ghazi Khan have restricted public transportation from Punjab to Balochistan in the evening.
“In light of the recent terrorist attacks on National Highway N-70, the standard operating procedures (SOPs) are hereby issued for immediate and strict compliance by all transport services operating between Punjab and Balochistan to ensure the safety and security of passengers and vehicles,” stated the notification that was issued regarding this matter.
All public transport vehicles will be halted at the Bawata border area after 5 p.m., according to Deputy Commissioner Usman Khalid. According to him, the decision was made in response to a recent unfortunate event in Balochistan where passengers were killed.
