Children: According to local authorities, a strong cloudburst caused flash floods and landslides along the Babusar Road on Monday, seriously damaging a 7–8 km section from Jal to Diyung. At least three persons were killed and one injured.
Due to massive landslides, falling boulders, and debris flow, the destructive cloudburst, which struck at approximately 3:3 pm, produced 14 to 15 major obstructions, rendering several routes unusable and leaving vehicles trapped in the area.
At several spots, trapped tourists were evacuated by emergency personnel. They were able to relocate to safe housing in Chilas with the assistance of local police and transportation from the Girls Degree College.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Diamer and the deputy commissioner, meanwhile, went to the disaster site and made as much progress as they could before being compelled to leave.
