ISLAMABAD: According to a survey conducted by the Institute for Public Opinion Research, which involved over 1,000 respondents from all over the nation, six out of ten Pakistanis have voiced their dissatisfaction with the federal government’s disregard for the provinces and its unequal distribution of resources, The News reported on Tuesday.
58% of Pakistanis who responded to the study claimed that the federal government was ignoring the provinces, 35% disagreed and claimed that the provinces were receiving enough funding, and 6% did not respond.
The states with the most complaints regarding the federal government’s lack of resources were Sindh (74%), Balochistan (68%), and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (65%). Punjab (47%), on the other hand, had the fewest complaints.
