ISLAMABAD: After Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), promised to record his statement in the guns and liquor seizure case, a district and sessions court in Islamabad deferred the hearing on Tuesday.
When the hearing was reopened by Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan, the attorney for the KP chief executive gave his word that Gandapur will record his statement via video link at 3 p.m.
In addition, the defense attorney asked the court under what statute it would lose the opportunity to record testimony under Section 342 for not showing up for the hearing.
To this, the judicial magistrate commented that the defence should have thoroughly studied his order, which specified the court’s jurisdiction.
