KYIV: Russia and Ukraine will have another round of peace negotiations in Istanbul on Wednesday, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The announcement follows two previous rounds that failed to end the war, but there is still hope for progress.
According to a spokesman for the Turkish government, the negotiations will be held in Istanbul, the same location as earlier discussions that in May and June failed to yield any results.
Zelensky spoke just hours after the Kremlin downplayed expectations of any progress, despite the fact that US President Donald Trump has stepped up pressure on Russia by threatening sanctions unless it agrees to a deal within 50 days.
