BERLIN: Iran’s state media said Friday would mark the first time since the U.S. attacked Iranian nuclear facilities that new negotiations with European powers would take place in Istanbul.
Iranian diplomats will meet with their E3 counterparts from Britain, France, and Germany after the three countries threatened to reimpose sanctions on Tehran if it did resume talks over its nuclear program.
Iran has continuously refuted the long-standing accusation from Israel and Western countries that it is attempting to acquire nuclear weapons.
