Following warnings from the three European nations that failure to resume talks would result in the reimposition of international sanctions on Iran, Iran’s semi-official news agency, Tasnim, reported on Sunday that Iran, Britain, France, and Germany could hold talks on Tehran’s nuclear program next week.
“The idea of having talks has been decided upon, but discussions about the time and location of the talks are still ongoing. Tasnim stated, citing a person with knowledge of the situation, “The country in which the talks could take place next week has not been finalized.”
The European Union’s foreign policy chief and the foreign ministers of the so-called E3 countries released the report on potential negotiations a few days later.
