In response to the untimely death of actor Humaira Asghar Ali, actors Zhalay Sarhadi and Yashma Gill have launched a much-needed project: the ‘Connectivity One-on-One’ WhatsApp group, which aims to check in on other artists and address mental health issues directly.
Despite the glitz and big crowds, Sarhadi highlighted in an exclusive interview with Digital how the entertainment profession can be excruciatingly lonesome.
“Artists often feel completely alone in this industry, even among people,” she said. Even your closest friends and family may not always be able to get in touch with you when things get tough. We believed it was crucial to take a proactive stance following each tragedy rather than merely shedding tears and expressing shock.
