KARACHI: A newlywed woman died on Wednesday from pulmonary arrest while receiving treatment at Civil Hospital for wounds from her husband’s maltreatment.
According to hospital officials, the victim had an abdominal operation in which half of her intestines were removed. “The woman’s intestines were damaged, and she died a short while ago,” they stated.
After being treated at the Trauma Center, the woman was taken to the hospital on July 4 in a severe condition.
“The woman’s condition was critical from the beginning; she didn’t regain consciousness and was on a ventilator, as her lungs were filled with water,” according to the authorities.
