With the potential for urban flooding in major cities, the Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert for the fifth spell of monsoon rains that are predicted to hit the province.
From July 28 to July 31, the provinces’ various districts will experience the fifth monsoon rain spell.
Heavy rainfall is expected in a number of districts, including Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, and Hafizabad, a PDMA spokeswoman said.
Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, and Okara are also anticipated to get rainfall.
