The moon that signifies the start of the Islamic month of Safar 1447 AH was not seen anywhere in the nation, according to a statement made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee on Friday night.
Therefore, Sunday, July 27, will be the first day of Safar.
Following a crucial Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting in Lahore, which was presided over by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, the official announcement was made. In order to gather proof of moon sightings, zonal committee meetings were held concurrently around the nation, including in Islamabad.
Maulana Azad stated, “No reliable reports or proof of the moon sighting were received from any part of the country.” According to Islamic custom, the current month of Muharram will therefore reach its 30-day mark.
