A woman from Oklahoma recently turned 100, but since she was born on Leap Day in 1924, she has only observed 25 real birthdays.
Mary Lea Forsythe, 100, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, told News, “It’s very unusual.”
Her relatives and friends traveled from all over the nation to commemorate the momentous occasion as a result.
A WWII veteran from California, age 103, shares an amazing life story and offers advice to the youth: “Each and every night, pray.”
Her party was held at the Sand Springs Methodist Church, and about a hundred people showed up.
“It was simply amazing,” Forsythe remarked. “I was delighted to be there, and everyone else seemed to be as well. It made no difference to them whether they were there to celebrate my 100th or 25th birthday. I felt incredibly appreciative.”
