On Saturday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s personal physician Dr Sameena Niazi performed his dental check-up in the Adiala jail in Rawalpindi, as ordered by the court.
Advocate Khalid Yousuf, Khan’s counsel, confirmed the claim, saying, “Dr Sameena Niazi examined Imran Khan’s teeth.”
The government doctors were also present for Khan’s examination, he said. “Overall health of the former prime minister is fine.”
Excusing himself from providing any details, the lawyer stated only Aleema Khan, the detained former prime minister’s sister, was authorized to speak about the PTI founder’s health.
The dentist would send her report on Khan’s dental checkup to his sister, the attorney said.
On February 23, during the hearing for the £190 million settlement case, the PTI founder approached the rostrum and requested that the accountability court order his dental check-up.
“I have not visited the doctor for the past seven months,” Khan went on to say.
“Doctors are available at the jail. “You can have your teeth checked,” the judge said.
