The event was a part of an Israeli settler spree that, in four days, four Palestinians were slain, according to local officials.
The 14-year-old Binyamin Ahimeir vanished on Friday after leaving his Jewish outpost to graze sheep close to the Palestinian town of Mughayir, in the Ramallah region. This led to the violence.
When his body was discovered the next day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) declared that a “terrorist attack” had murdered him.
Dozens of settlers, some armed, attacked Mughayir during the boy’s quest. According to Palestinian sources, they shot and killed a 25-year-old man called Jihad Abu Alia in the chest in addition to burning cars and houses.
