In close coordination with neighboring provinces, President Asif Ali Zardari has instructed Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to initiate a massive operation against drug traffickers throughout the province, dacoits in the Katcha area, and street criminals in Karachi.
The President has given many directions aimed at reinstating peace and order in Sindh, especially in the provincial capital, in the face of an increase in violent street crimes. These directives include taking action against the drug mafia, reducing the trafficking of stolen items, and finishing the long-delayed Karachi Safe City project.
The event transpired on Wednesday at the CM House at a special meeting presided over by President Zardari to assess the state of law and order in the province. Federal and provincial officials, together with representatives from security agencies, were present.
