The head of the military’s public relations department declared on Tuesday that the May 9 violent episodes were an assault on the Pakistan Army as well as the populace as a whole. The perpetrators of those incidents must be held accountable if the legal system is to be upheld.
During a press briefing, ISPR Director General Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that both the general public and the armed forces witnessed the events on May 9. “Everyone saw how people were brainwashed through false propaganda,” he said.

He declared, “Form a judicial commission and get to the bottom of the incident.”
Recalling that Islamabad was attacked in 2022, the head of ISPR stated that any judicial commission should also look into the attack on PTV and how people were forced to rebel against the government. It should also look into how letters were sent to the IMF urging them not to sign a deal with Pakistan.
