In addition, he played in several of his own bands, such as Big Black and Shellac, his most recent endeavor.
Prior to Albini’s passing, Shellac was scheduled to tour in support of their recently completed album, To All Trains, which is scheduled for release next week, according to the music website Pitchfork.
He established the renowned Electric Audio recording facility in Chicago in 1997.
