It is urged that drivers stay away from the Surrey intersection of junctions 9 and 10 between Friday night at 9 p.m. and Monday morning at 6 a.m.
Additionally, drivers have been asked to follow the 19-mile diversion route, which will pass through portions of Surrey and Greater London.
This is the second of five scheduled closures of the freeway; the first one occurred in March and affected the area between junctions 10 and 11.
That time, concerns that detour routes might overflow proved unjustified, as following a broad awareness effort, traffic volumes were more than two-thirds lower than usual.
