While high temperatures are predicted to be the norm for the next few days, forecasters have warned that the UK will see “thundery breakdowns” on Monday.
This will be warmer than the highest temperature of the year thus far, which was 24.3C on Thursday at Heathrow and St. James’s Park in London.
Scotland and Northern Ireland should also have warmer springtime temperatures; Glasgow is projected to reach 22C on Saturday.
The warmer weather, according to Office meteorologist Alex Burkill, is a result of the high pressure that has hung over the UK for the majority of this week.
The meteorologist advised people to make sure they are protected because rising temperatures also mean higher UV and pollen levels.
