Recently, Nawaz Sharif, the former prime minister, expressed his disgust with the people, saying that they did not rise up in support of him when he was removed from office as an elected prime minister.
Many observers think that Sharif was expelled from Islamabad’s power corridors for supposedly choosing a quarrel with the establishment, although there was never a strong backlash against his abrupt exit. Conversely, those who opposed him and charged him with corruption and bad leadership rejoiced over it.
Many would defend these grievances by claiming that Pakistanis have a propensity to believe the propaganda of “invisible powers,” who not only run the media but have always shaped popular opinion. They are the ones spreading deadly lies about politicians, calling them ignorant, dishonest, and corrupt.
What has angered Nawaz Sharif?
