Slightly smaller than 89 acres, Mullagrach is about a 35-minute boat voyage from the northwest Highland mainland’s Old Dorney Harbour.
In order to access the island, visitors will also need to wear appropriate outdoor attire, sturdy shoes, and be able to navigate a boat and climb ladders.
Mullagrach features a heather-clad, roofed hut classified as “low environmental” that, according to selling agent Galbraith, “blends into the landscape”.
The interior of the cabin has two box beds, a wood-burning stove, and a cooking area.
There is an outdoor composting toilet and power is provided by solar panels. A mechanism for collecting rainwater is also present.
The owners bought Mullagrach eighteen years ago with the intention of preserving and enhancing the flora and fauna.
Many seabirds, such as great skua, kittiwakes, shags, fulmars, and geese, call the island home.
Galbraith is managing the combined sale of Mullagrach House in addition to the island.
The Coigach peninsula’s Polbain hamlet is home to the coastal property, which is available for purchase alone for £395,000.
The owners are looking for offers over £895,000 for the house and island together.
