A man who is accused of killing a “much-loved mum” in West Lothian has made an appearance in court.
At approximately 7:55 p.m. on Sunday, Cunnighar Road, Broxburn, saw a disturbance for which police were called.
Emergency personnel brought 42-year-old Chitsidzo Chinyanga to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where she later died.
Veronica, Ms. Chinyanga, was a native of Zimbabwe.
Her family issued the following statement via Police Scotland: “Veronica was a much-loved mother, sister, aunt, and mother to all, who will be deeply missed by many.”
“We would ask that we are given privacy to come to terms with our loss at this time.”
Chinyanga did not enter a plea when she appeared before Livingston Sheriff Court on Tuesday in response to the one charge of it.
The Broxburn resident who was the suspect was placed under remand and is expected back in the dock in eight days.
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died and we’ll do all we can to support them at this very difficult time,” stated Detective Chief Inspector Craig Higgins earlier.
