Though many jokes had anticipated it, I doubt anyone ever thought it would actually happen. However, that happened in Mumbai the other day when a plane was so packed that one person had to stand.
It appears that the private airline put one of its staff members on standby and allowed him to board after a scheduled customer failed to show up. However, that passenger had arrived and boarded beyond schedule. Nobody knows how the extra passenger got on board, but it did. The airline employee was observed by a hostess lingering around the back. Subsequently, the captain declined to take off until the additional passenger was removed.
I have no idea what the employee’s strategy is. It was a flight to Varanasi, which was more over two hours distant. Did he intend to proceed entirely on his feet? Or was he going to claim any seat that became available along the way? The next thing we’ve heard about—jumping off a plane while traveling—but there haven’t been any examples of it yet. It would only function if you hadn’t checked any bags. and had parachute knowledge.
Iran also experienced an air accident, albeit a well-known one in which Iran’s President Ibrahim Raisi perished in a helicopter crash. You may recall the Indian Chief of Defence Staff’s death in a helicopter crash.
