As the provincial government expands the effort, “Maryam Ki Dastak” services will begin in every division on August 14, according to Faisal Yousaf of the Punjab Information Technology Board, who made the announcement on Monday.
At a meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who went over the services offered to citizens via the application, he made this statement.
According to the official website, the program seeks to facilitate individuals by delivering services right to their doorstep. Specially trained “Facilitators” who assist individuals with application filling, fee payment, application submission, and final delivery are the key components of the end-to-end service delivery model.
It would be especially helpful for women, individuals with disabilities, and senior residents to seek several government services.
Through the mobile application, users would have access to services provided by the police, revenue, municipalities, excise, TMA, development agencies, and other departments. The Dastak app provides access to services such as domicile, e-stamping, birth, death, marriage certificates, property tax, token tax, motor vehicle transfer, and new car registration facility.
By August 2024, Maryam gave her staff instructions to expand the number of services offered in Lahore through the “Maryam Ki Dastak” mobile application to 40, and eventually to 65. In addition to approving the program’s number extension, she demanded that the services offered under it be improved.
