Three bogies on the Millet Express passenger train that was heading from Karachi to Lalamusa derailed close to the Kotri Junction train station, narrowly averting a serious tragedy.
The train was promptly redirected to the Dado track and stopped after the train driver reported that the Millet Express’s brakes had failed close to Kotri Junction railway station.
Three coaches had derailed from the track, according to railway authorities, which is why there was train traffic.
A number of passengers sustained minor injuries as a result of the train coaches derailing off the track.
The Hazara Express was stopped at Hyderabad Railway Station on the down track following the Millat Express incident near Kotri Station, according to the railway authorities, while the Green Line, Sukkur Express, and Karachi Express trains were stopped at various stops.
