The decision to temporarily restrict the air route between Islamabad and DI Khan was made by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
Civil aircraft will not be able to use Jacobabad Airport until June 2025.
The shutdown of Route No. J183 at both airports will take place from July 1 to December 1, 2024, and air traffic control has been notified.
Notices announcing the closure of both airports were released by the CAA.
