The rock band canceled their scheduled performances in Berlin on Tuesday and Wednesday, citing “the band has yet failed to make a full recovery.”
It is unknown what the ailment is, or which band members are afflicted.
While they wished “a reschedule had been possible for this tour leg,” they also stated that tickets would be refunded at the point of purchase and that they “hope to come back to Berlin soon.”
They announced on Friday that they had “no other option” when the band member who was sick called in sick for their Saturday night performance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
“We are sorry to share that the Pearl Jam concerts scheduled for Tuesday, July 2nd and Wednesday, July 3rd in Berlin are cancelled,” the band stated in a statement posted on Instagram.
As hard as everyone has tried, the band still hasn’t fully recovered.
They continued, saying, “We are aware of the consequences of our choice. We regret to inform you that so many people have invested a great deal of time, money, and emotional energy in obtaining tickets and seeing the band perform.
We also acknowledge and thank the several individuals whose tireless efforts make these shows possible..
