LONDON: Ben Habib, the far-right Reform UK leader of Pakistani descent, has refuted claims that his organization is comprised primarily of racists, Islamophobes, and extreme right-wingers who despise immigrants, Muslims, and individuals of ethnic minority descent.
As more people who once supported the Conservative Party but are now drifting away from it join Reform UK, the party is expected to rank second or third in terms of vote shares on July 4. Polls have shown Reform UK to be rising recently.
Habib, the joint deputy head of the far-right party, spoke with News in Northampton, where he is running for office on the Reform UK ticket in the July 4 elections.
“I am the best representation of Reform UK,” he declared. “My mother is English, and my father is Pakistani. I am proud of my Pakistani heritage.”
As one of Reform UK’s leaders, I adore who I am. The party cannot be racist. I disagree that our party is much to the right.
Benyamin Habib, the multimillionaire tycoon, is the full name of the right-wing organization Reform UK, which has openly advocated against Muslims and opposes immigration to the UK. Nigel Farage, the leader of Reform UK, has received tens of thousands of pounds from this organization. PM Rishi Sunak was subjected to racist abuse by one of the party’s prominent figures, who was exposed last week.
About fifty years ago, Habib traveled from Karachi to the UK to attend a boarding school for wealthy children. In an effort to give him a better opportunity at life, his parents sent him to a private school in the UK.
