Senior government officials will soon have access to luxurious homes instead of just luxurious cars; work on opulent homes for bureaucrats in grades 20, 21, and 22 has already begun.
The project was originally allowed for 27 houses at a cost of Rs1.6445 billion, but according to the records, it has now been expanded to include 29 luxurious double-story homes, each with a water tank, tube well room, property office, and boundary wall. The project’s overall cost is expected to approach Rs2 billion as a result of this extension.
High-ranking government officials’ housing demands are being met by the Infrastructure Development Authority of the Punjab (IDAP), which is building these luxurious apartments in Phase 9 of the Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Lahore.
The ambitious nature of the idea is highlighted by the documents, which state that a deadline of one year and nine months has been established for the completion of the housing project.
The Services and General Administration recently authorized the decision to expand the number of properties from 27 to 29, indicating a calculated move to meet the growing demand among senior bureaucrats for official housing.
