An effort to import sugar from Pakistan into Afghanistan has been successfully thwarted by Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (South). The operation was conducted at Killi Gharibabad, Nok Kundi, when a sizable stash of sugar that had been unlawfully stored was found in a warehouse.
Authorities found 1,368 bags of sugar during the raid, totaling over 70 tons. At current market rates, the value of the confiscated sugar is estimated to be 10 million rupees.
After the operation, the smugglers were reported in a formal complaint (FIR), and the warehouse was sealed. Customs officers now have the sugar that was found and the people who were trying to smuggle it for judicial action.
This triumphant endeavor underscores the continuous endeavors to counteract interstate smuggling and safeguard Pakistan’s economic concerns.
